Any tips for dressing well in a recession?
Ze recession is affecting everyone, look at Madonna. She recently had to get rid of one of her personal assistants. Guy Ritchie, our thoughts go out to you. Alzo, like Madonna does, shop around – she gets her new babies from war zones vhere zey are literally giving zem away.

Who would you most like to have a good hands-on session with?
Heidi Klum, I vould give her such ein slap. She is alvays copying me. I vear vings, she vears vings. I move to America to become ein celebrity, she gets on ein plane to LA. I snogged Seal backstage at ze Elle Style Avards, you do ze mathematische.

What is the best thing about coming from Austria?
I highly recommend ze café of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s brother, Harald, who is one of Vienna’s most celebrated patisserie chefs. His zwetschgenfleck is amazing und you’ve never tasted a cremeschnitte like his. He makes only 18 cakes a year und zey cost €9,000 each. You can order what you like from him but you won’t get it. P Diddy once ordered a marillenknödel and €18,000 and two months later he got a palatschinken.

Have you ever had a wardrobe malfunction while wearing lederhosen?
Nein, everything is tucked avay neatly – in lederhosen mein kugelsack is hidden better zan Simon Cowell’s sexuality.

What is the most intimate place you’ve had a tattoo?
I do not have any. Brüno ist ein wipe-clean canvas.

Do you have any tips for enjoying a back, sack and crack wax?
Alvays get it done by ein professional. I once tried to self-wax mein arschenhaller und ended up glued to ze bed.

Who is behind your success?
Vhen you make ein film zere is alvays ein big team of people behind ze cameras. I have no idea vat zey do apart from ride on mein designer coat-tails. Ze movie is called Brüno, do I need to say any more? Vould you ask Gandhi who was behind ze success of his film?

What is the worst job you ever had?
All mein jobs have been fantastische. Before I presented Funkyzeit I presented ein show called Get Über It. If something really bad had happened to someone, like they’d just broken up, or lost a father, we would re-do their house for zem. We vould start out mit two loudhailers shouting Get Über It! Zen we take everything out of ze house. We had this guy whose wife died so, to cheer him up, we brought in zese amazing curtains and it totally transformed his apartment.

I hear Orlando Bloom is being naughty. Will you have to punish him?
Zat guy is such a little bitch. First he stalks me, zhen he denies it. He vill indeed be punished. Ze guy who did Shakira’s hair extensions for ze Hips Don’t Lie video is having ein party next veek und I have made sure Orlando is nicht invited.

Have you ever claimed for anything unusual on expenses?
Ein midget. I vas doing ein report for mein show, Funkyzeit, on things I had never tried before. I didn’t like it, he vas one of zose angry ones zat gets offended if you call zem Happy. He got even more huffy vhen I zhen called him Grumpy, I couldn’t vin.

Can England regain the Ashes this summer?
I don’t know, is Beckham playing? Vhen it comes to sport, ze only real vinner is ze shower head in ze changing rooms: vhat ein view.

Early Reviews

As reported previously on this site, there were some special previews of Bruno across the UK this week.

Both owners of this site were of course there (see Kev's review).

My personal quick thoughts were:

Loved it. Well done to the whole team.

If I was to cut one scene: The cinema (Newcastle) was a
little quiet for the ghost of Milli Vanilli rimming-and-reach-around moment.

Excellent stuff though. A great follow up to Borat. Nearer the Borat
movie than Ali G The Movie.

Bruno is fabulous!

Brunoonline.co.uk was at the first Newcastle screening of Bruno the Movie and it was fabulous! Right from the start the tone was set, this was to be a near knuckle experience with Bruno manipulating a small man in a variety of ways...

Not to give the plot away, the story is a typical Hollywood tale. A successful person falls from grace and fights to re-establish themselves. Nothing new there but the way Bruno goes about regaining his fame is nothing short of breathtaking.

For a film clearly created in the cutting room the laughs were surprisingly regular and 80% were laugh out loud. Many of the most awkward moments were very subtle but still got picked up by the audience. And unlike Borat, it was much harder to work out who the stooges were and which pieces were pre-arranged. Needless to say it wouldn't have mattered anyway as everything was so funny.

We recommend you see the movie asap, before you hear the plot and before too many of the scenes are discussed around the water cooler. Please don't go if you're fearful of seeing men's flesh. That's about the only warning we can offer. Enjoy. Be Fabulous!

Bruno's Michael Jackson scene is permanently cut

The scene from Bruno in which he interviews Latoya Jackson and pushes her for Michael's mobile phone number has been cut from the film permanently.

The scene was shown at the London, Madrid, Paris and Amsterdam premieres. But was cut out of the film just in time for the LA premier.

In a statement, Universal, the studio behind the movie, says,

Out of respect for the Jackson family, the filmmakers have decided to remove a
small scene involving La Toya Jackson
